Past continuous
El pasado continuo describimos una accion que se alarga en el tiempo y durante la cual tiene lugar la accion expresada por el pasado simple.
Affirmative: our team was losing
Negative: the fans weren’t cheering
Questions: who were they playing with?
Past simple and past continuous + when/while
While when son conectores que introducen oraciones. Muestran una relacion temporal entre las mismas.
What were you doing when I phoned?
While they were playing footbal, it started to rain
Have to/ don’t have to/ must/ musn’t
Have to se usa para expresar negacion. Encambio haven’t to se usa para expresar ausencia de obligación.
I have to do my homework
It’s Saturday! We don’t have to g oto school
El verbo must expresa deber u obligación de hacer algo
Musn’t expresa prohibición
I mus’t visit my aunt
I musn’t smoke
